Sapodilla is a fruit tree found in the Caribbean and Central America. Its edible fruit, 5 to 8 cm in diameter, is sapodilla. The tree provides a wood used in cabinet making as well as chicle, a kind of white latex used in the past in the manufacture of chewing paste.

Advice and maintenance

The sapodilla grows in a hot arid environment, it needs sun. With proper maintenance and sunny conditions, the tree yields up to 2,000 to 3,000 fruits per year.

Upon receipt of your plants, moisten the pot for a few minutes to rehydrate the roots. Plant immediately with or without the pot by inserting into a suitable hole.
